June 6, 2013 Posted in at 4:19 am by zalis116 After several months of nothing, here’s something, anyway. Episode 1 of Yes Pretty Cure 5, available softsubbed for almost the first time ever. Back when I first started watching this, I knew I was in for a treat when Nobuyuki Hiyama showed up as the first villain, and he didn’t disappoint. At any rate, I hope to have future episodes released in small batches, as they really aren’t that difficult to do. Subs are mainly based on Arienai’s, with some input from ANFO and of course some changes of my own. Posted in at 12:19 pm by zalis116 For those looking for a higher-resolution version of Yes!
Pretty Cure 5, DmonHiro episodes 21-49 in 1280×720 from HDTV sources. He was just waiting on me to release 23 and 24 to fill in the gap. You can find that batch torrent, and it also includes Arienai’s.mp4 releases of 1-20 for your downloading convenience. Is this show technically “worth” 720p, or is the HDTV broadcast just an upscale?
I don’t know, and I’ve seen the case made for both sides. (I’m inclined to believe it isn’t, as Toei’s animation has always been a few years behind the times, and this show aired in 2007-08.) And personally, I prefer to get/release disc versions of Pretty Cure shows whenever possible, since they don’t have things like station logos, broadcast announcements, movie/merchandising messages, or clocks. There’s also the chance of fixed animation, and in the case of eps 25-26 and 32-42, extended/complete Next Episode Previews. Still, I suppose it’s good that people who want 720p versions have that option available, and I’d rather see HDTV encodes out there than 720placebo DVD upscales. (Not that the DVDs were exceptional quality to begin with.) DmonHiro has said that he does not intend to do eps 1-20, as he felt Arienai’s subs were sufficient. I would say there’s room for improvement, but it’s kind of a moot point; HDTV raws for those episodes have never been commonly available in the first place.
If they were, I would be willing to release 720p versions of 1-20 alongside the DVD releases. Posted in, at 4:19 am by zalis116 Here was have the last of the “gap” episodes, and it’s a pretty good one — Nozomi storms Nightmare headquarters to save her friends, first through a dream sequence, and then through a showdown at Nightmare Coliseum. The biggest Miracle in this episode is not the first use of the Pretty Cure 5 Explosion, but that Milk manages to be somewhat useful for once. Following this, we’ll be working our way through episodes 1-20, as well as the movie at some point.

I’ve obtained or extracted all of the scripts in some form or another, so all that’s left is some retiming and (hopefully) minor editing. February 10, 2013 Posted in, at 10:31 pm by zalis116 After a bit of a hiatus, I present Yes Pretty Cure 5 episode 23. Just one more episode to go until all eps are available from either Arienai or PCSS. But re-releases of earlier episodes will continue as well. This is one of the more interesting and somewhat disturbing episodes of the series.
An altercation turns into an accident, and that accident turns into an opportunity for Nightmare to strike a heavy blow against Pretty Cure. Oh, and not surprisingly, it’s Milk’s fault. November 27, 2012 Posted in, at 6:19 am by zalis116 Something’s got to be off when a fictional evil corporation displays more logic than its real-world counterparts. Meanwhile, the small accessory wing of the Minazuki Conglomerate runs a door-buster sale, with numerous underaged and likely unpaid interns. providing most of the labor. And everybody’s favorite mascot Milk catches market fever and attempts to sell herself for a fairly low (and some would say fair) price. In the midst of a labor dispute, Arachnea makes an appearance and sends in a Kowainaa worthy of admiration from jellyfish otaku everywhere.Or possibly “independent contractors”; the whole arrangement is rather vague.
November 24, 2012 Posted in, at 5:22 am by zalis116 Starting in on some more re-releases of older episodes, episode 21 unfortunately marks the introduction of the third mascot character, Milk. Now, our feelings about Milk have been conveyed in various places, including the totally authentic line of dialogue above. I can respect what they did in having a mascot who’s not entirely cute, friendly, and noble. However, I’d prefer the amorality of a certain contract-forming critter over the self-serving immorality of Milk. Subs for this episode are based on the translations by Aesir and Eggplant, with Aesir’s timing as a base.
As with episodes 25 and 26, I have included Aesir’s original script as the third subtitle stream. November 12, 2012 Posted in, at 3:35 am by zalis116 Just because the series is completely subbed, it doesn’t mean we’re done here. Oh no, not by a long shot.

After being busy with and finally recovering from the I staff at, it’s time to get underway with more Yes! Pretty Cure 5 releases. The first order of business is some v2s to correct some major and minor errors that were made along the way.
Episodes affected are: 27: Adding the alternate plain sub track. 39: Some translation fixes. 45: Correcting a wrong name in one line. 46: Fixing placement errors in the OP karaoke. 48: Retiming one line that started late, plus a few other things you probably won’t notice.
Certain other episodes have some minor errors in the karaoke, but I didn’t think it was worth v2ing almost every single episode. To run the patches, unpack the.rar in the same folder where you have the previous PCSS YPC5 releases, then click the.bat file. It should run automatically and create the v2s. Afterwards, you can delete the v1s and all the associated patch files.
It’s actually happened. EVERYONE, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, THE IMPOSSIBLE HAS OCCURRED, THE END OF THE WORLD IS UPON US! Yes, seriously this series has now been completed. I can hardly believe it either, but consider the curse of Yes Pretty Cure 5 officially broken. We’ve put some special messages at the end of the video should anyone wish to read them.
Next on the agenda, the Yes5 movie and re-subbing the earlier episodes. —————- Zalis: To speak of the episode itself, I must say I liked Splash Star’s finale better. Kickass fight, massive explosions, tearjerking aftermath, roll epilogue. This ending had some noticeable wtf/left-field elements, and Toei decided to take a page from the Sailor Stars ending. (Which in all fairness, aired before Yes Pretty Cure 5’s main target audience was even born.) Still, any ending you can walk away from into a sequel is a good ending. And I hear the ending to the sequel is pretty darn epic, so there’s one thing to look forward to.
I think it’s plain to see that Kawarino’s plan didn’t go all that well So it took a little longer than I’d like because i needed to get settled back where my university is located, but i can finally say ONE MORE EPISODE! Well OK, one more episode until the series is completely subbed, over half the season to go for us. For a penultimate there was a decent amount of talking, I expected more of the cures getting beaten up like in previous series.
In this episode: The Cures take a break mid fight for a chat, Kawarino freaks out, and sadly, Milk recovers. On To the Cure Peach cosplayer I met at J-Con Derby.
Fresh Precure! – Love Momozono is a 14-year-old student at Yotsuba Junior Highschool that tends to care more for others than for herself. One day she visits a show of the famous dance unit “Trinity” and decides to become a dancer, too. On the same event, subordinates of the Labyrinth Kingdom show up who want to collect the unhappiness of the audience.
Love gets the power to change into Cure Peach and fights them. Soon after, she is joined by her good friends Miki, who is Cure Berry, and Inori, who becomes Cure Pine.
